Thanks for all the replies. I will let you know how I get on as I hope to do a deal tomorrow. But I like a good deal to get motivated so we shall see....
I find riding my roadster through Melbourne traffic fun! Be it busy peak hour roads or not. I tend to always find a gap or somewhere to go. It easy enough to manoeuvre once you are used to it.

My point is its not the ideal bike for traffic . I manoeuvre my bike around no problem but if its gridlock a smaller bike which isnt going to get hot is probably a better option. But anyway i hope he gets the rocket as we all know its a small price to pay for the enjoyment they bring and they kick fkn arse
Welcome Basil, Same as what everyone has said the Rocket is a great bike but they are not much fun in stop/start traffic. All the best with the new bike.
I love my Rocket in traffic or anywhere else and can't think of one short coming. Of course there's other bikes I'd enjoy too but the sheer size and power of the Rocket are among its strengths. I feel safer and certainly more visible and unless you're going to start mounting footpaths or riding over cars, or like to wear frocks when you ride, a Rocket is ideal.
Tell you what , waiting for my Rocket to get back from Melbourne I've been getting a lot of f#ckin attitude from car drivers while riding my Speedie .. don't ever have that problem on the Rocket. Pricks get out of the way when the see a Rocket bearing down on them .. hahahaha
