None. The round number just sounds good. I guess I think it’s just a threshold or benchmark that sounds nice. Maybe the word ideal was to definite. Now don’t be some darned argumentative.:p

It's a threshold of where built motors start. It goes up from there. I've heard claims of over 300 but for some reason nobody seems to have a dyno sheet to match those claims :rolleyes:

For those fortunate enough to be taking delivery of their new R3s, I met up with my mate on Friday who is the head technician at our main Triumph dealership . Altho I had my fingers in my ears and was singing " I know a song that will get on your nerves " , He told me that he had just finished a 2 week training course at Hinkley with the new Rocket . He says that bike is a marvel of modern engineering and Triumph have really learned from past mistakes in the design and build of these bikes ! Electrics are not his thing and anything solid state can fail , but those engines are in his words , bulletproof , along with perfect brakes and chassis . It's not often I hear him rave about any bike , never in fact. But I had to sing my song at least 3 times before he would shut up !

I lived in England when I was a youngster for 3 years outside of London. My brother wants to go back in 2021 and drag me with him. If I go I'm going to find you and have a luke warm beer or two with you. I may or may not put an Ice cube in said beer. Just say'n.

I would love that ! we have fridges now . :)
 
I wouldn't say it smacked it. Too many variables going on here. Different riders, reaction time, aggression and equal weight . I would like to see a quarter mile time on these two.
THE video I saw it SMACKED THE HELL out of the Rocket I was SHOCKED TRIUMPH needs to step up the power output its 2500CC and SHOULD be the HORSEPOWER KING

WELL not a one of the 300 + HP could post a Dynosheet to prove it

RICKEY GADSON dragstrip tested the new ROCKET 10.5 @ 127 MPH but hes a PRO
