50mm (2") crash bars from Germany installed! WOW! These are amazing...

If they incorporated replaceable hard rubber or nylon pads so as to mostly negate purely aesthetic need for replacement after a tip-over I'd seriously consider replacing mine. Their massiveness totally compliments the spirit of the R3. Beautiful!

Bought my bike off Hans. Great chap. Really want a set of those bars, but funds are a bit tight.

Nah ...it couldn't be any easier....remove the 2 lower bolts on the front of the foot control bars and one long bolt that goes through the frame that holds the engine in....... Put a jack under the sump just to take the weight so that the bar can be tapped out .....the right hand side rear rad grill needs to be removed to get the bar out......also take note the the chin spoiler has 2 bushes that go on the left hand side.......I'd say it's a 1/2hr job

I dropped my rocket and picked it right up easily because of a technique that I had previously been made aware of - turn your back to the motorcycle, squat and slowly walk it up and then turn toward it once it is upright. No engine guards were in place and she was just about flat horizontal. Zero damage because I was extremely lucky - she was still in the cycle shed when I forgot to put the kickstand down like a complete idiot.

Thanks so much for posting this. I am ordering these guards ASAP. They are freakin' awesome.
