Err....I am a chemical engineer not an electrical but if this truly has 500CCA for 99 delivered that is a decent deal....

Anyone heard of this brand?

Most of the AGMs top around 310....

So not sure....

What you guys think?

Cheers!

Greg

I don't know how you would get so much CCA. It might be rated at a shorter duration then the standard ratings. My AGM battery is rated at 325 CCA.

Thats what I thought as it is a 20 Amp Hour Battery.....I'll call the vendor tomorrow as 500CCA in that size is only found in Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries.

Red Rocket...What brand are you running? 325 is very good for a non Lithium.

Thanks!

I havnt seen any tests on that battery have you ? BUT I see its being sold by ANTIGRAVITY so thats a good thing Its not the most powerful battery for the Rocket the 720 cranking amp battery is the lightest 5 lbs and smallest and most powerful also a lithium and will last twice as long

I really like these super powerfull batteries for the big Modded high compression Rockets and all the electrics on the bike work so much better I see all these complaints about cold weather starting why mess around just buy the most powerful and longest lasting battery while your replacing that old weak lead acid version

I found this thread helpful regarding the different types of MC batteries:
Motorcycle Batteries .. AGM, GEL, Wet, Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) | Adventure Rider

I am not a Lithium Iron Phosphate fan as they need to be disposed if any cell hits 2.0V for any reason. I went through a couple of Shorais on my high Compression bikes and sure as sam,,,soon as i went out of warranty on one....It went defective. The second one I left the kill switch on (my mistake) and parasitic drain took her down to below 8 volts...Total loss.

R3's have low compression and a big flywheel. Not sure you need a 720CCA. What would Issac Newton put in his rocket? I am sold on AGM technology but know too many guys losing LiFePO4's to an out of warranty defect or a single discharge event. That is alot of cash to drop for a batt that is really not going, IMHO, to last twice as long as a tenedered AGM but can cost 4x as much....

Just saying....If you got it spend it..but what have people found as the best bang for buck AGM out there that is reliable.....I think other brands are made by Yuasa...I am not sure who they are.

Peace.....

Don't sweat the little stuff, man. A good quality $100 or less battery should get you a long way down the road.

No doubt and after sweating it...You Yuasa fans can buy their USA made YTX20HL-BS "motorcross" brand for 80 shipped at Batt##yM#rt or if you want a real great AGM East Penn Mfg makes that size with also 310CCA for 100 shipped under the Deka or Big Crank brand from East Penn.

I will not buy Yuasas anymore so its a "Big Crank" ETX20L for me made in the USA and East Penn from my due diligence makes one heck of a battery and alot of other electrical power supplies...The poor HD riders pay 280 for a 100 East Penn Mfg batt which is actually a Deka/Big Crank relabeled as a HD batt.

BTW Phil...I was a Pharmaceutical Scientist for 18 years so I tend to research the HADES out of everything. Your relatives and you are taking pharmaceutics possibly that I did the 3D molecular design on...So I can't stop sweating the small stuff.....If's in my chromosones now but I rather call it..

Due Diligence.

Have to agree, a lot of brain cells being wasted over nothing the wallyworld battery will last you four years easy without any problems and if you keep your battery more than four years then you are looking for trouble.
