Just came from my dealer, they said to adj the valves, they would need to drop the motor . That would take about 5 hrs time, then they could adj the valves.
Any body have this done yet?
What kind of tolerances were found?
Thanks

Doesn't sound kosher to me. If you have a repair manual you could see if they are full of it. Most bikes it's take the tank off (or raise on prop rod on the 2300), pull the valve cover, measure the clearance on each valve and replace any shims not in tolerance with a valve bucket compression tool.

Dropping the motor? No. You just remove the seat, battery (to prevent accidental starts!), fuel tank, left side panel, evap, air filter, and camshaft cover.

100% NO! I've done it! Change dealerships.
It will, however, be expensive to check and, even more so, to actually swap shims (if needed).

That'll get you to the valve check. A PIA compared to the 2.3s, but doable. If you need to swap shims you'll pull the radiator, clutch cover, need additional tools, etc. At 20K you need to bleed the clutch, which requires going that deep, as well. If no adjustment is needed you could draw up the old clutch fluid (not too much!) from the master cylinder and replace with fresh. Rinse and repeat after a while in an attempt to get more fresh fluid in.....
