Mike, I was due to be coming out to join you all at Leakey for the once in a lifetime experience. Back on page 70, post #695 I had to explain my reasons for withdrawal. I've been diagnosed with throat/mouth cancer and am now in my second week of treatment. Life sucks sometimes but should be fit and well enough for next year! Hope you al have a terrific time and keep those photos coming!:thumbsup:

If I may did your symptoms started with raspy voice and pain in your jawbones and teeth?.... my doctor stated that I had symptoms and currently waiting for a visit to a specialist,
hope you come out of this free of .further problems.

You should come out for a visit. I was going through my old ride photos and saw quite a few of the wide open west, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas and got myself a bit depressed because it's been so long since I've ridden those roads.

We also have some great old western, or what one would call "cowboy" towns. They are all over the west and southwest, ghost towns too. I recall a ride from San Antonio, TX back to the Pacific Northwest and a Texas friend said that I'd find the most difficult thing about riding in Texas is getting out of Texas. How true

And then there is the Grand Canyon. I had to climb over a safety rail and then jump to get out to that rock platform. It was a long way down and back when I could still run, jump and was foolish enough to do such things.

Awesome, Mike!

No, my only symptom was a small persistant sore spot at the back of my throat, nothing else! Saw the GP and the whirlwind process started!

I begged & begged but Clav and K9 wouldn’t slow down for me to take any pictures today (just kidding, we were too focused on the road and enjoying the beautiful sunny ride to stop today).

This is a shot of the law breakers, the entrance to the resort and the Rio Frio running in front of our cabins.
