GOC, if you are a slow rider it don't matter. This part of Texas is pretty. It's not spectacular, just pretty. It just happens to have good twisty roads with little traffic, specially during the week when we are going to ride. So if you'r a speed demon you can have your fill.
For me, the best road ever was the Cherohala Hwy. Looong endless sweeping turns, back to back for what seemed hours. Would go back to those hills just to ride Cherohala.
IMO some of the best roads in The Texas Hill country are straight, posting some of the most beautiful ranches you have ever seen... in the middle of nowhere. Unlike others, ridding straight, sight seeing, does not bore me. If you wish, ill take you there then, you go race the twisties. It's a personal thing. It's all gud.
