GOC; Day 1 Google Maps
Day 2 Google Maps

For those who have not been to Leakey or ridden with this pack. Spirited means never ride bellow twice the speed limit. If there is a wiggly sign with a 20mph suggested speed, they approach it at 60... not kidding.

Rickardo,
When day riding the twisties, 247 miles is just too much keen focus for me in one day.
I prefer stops for refreshments and bench racing.
Your route also misses 16 to Kerrville and 39 back west to 83 and Leakey.

Might be an idea to see how my rear end is holding up! This will be the most riding I will have done for many years. I expect it will be close to what I normally manage in a whole year!

'Bout darn time, M8!!!
Perhaps the boys from OZ will provide you some Butt Wax as they did me one RAA in Arkansas???

I'v learned. I won't even try following you guys. Toooo fast for me. GOC can decide who he wants to lead of follow. I was just making suggestions for the two days we'll be there before the rest of the pack gets there. I saw 16 north of Medina looks good. Ill show the maps to GOC and see what he says.

GOC, if you are a slow rider it don't matter. This part of Texas is pretty. It's not spectacular, just pretty. It just happens to have good twisty roads with little traffic, specially during the week when we are going to ride. So if you'r a speed demon you can have your fill.

For me, the best road ever was the Cherohala Hwy. Looong endless sweeping turns, back to back for what seemed hours. Would go back to those hills just to ride Cherohala.

IMO some of the best roads in The Texas Hill country are straight, posting some of the most beautiful ranches you have ever seen... in the middle of nowhere. Unlike others, ridding straight, sight seeing, does not bore me. If you wish, ill take you there then, you go race the twisties. It's a personal thing. It's all gud.

Do I need to let Tee know that you uninvited her again?

I had added Tee's name, but when you updated the list her name was gone. I was just picking at you brother. You know not to take me seriously. :p

Rick, as stated in my post earlier, I would much rather take things at a leisurely pace and enjoy the whole once in a life time experience. It is as much your leisure time as it is mine and I will be eternally grateful for the time and effort you have taken in helping me fulfil this dream. As I said, 'Lead on Big Brother' I will follow in the wake of your wisdom :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Leisurely it will be and it will be a group effort.
