2018 Triumph Rocket

It's nice but not my style.
Would love to see Triumph do a six cylinder so You got the cool Jardine headers and exhaust on both sides , I would like to see the radiator smaller and curiving around front of bike with a nice casing around it so it looks like part of the bike. As well as the gas tank semtrical , Then that would be my kind of bike.

I keep listening to us talk about a wish list for the next Rocket. Bigger engine seems to be a hot issue. Darn, 2300 cc, 150 +/- horse pwr. I must be in the minority. A little help from Han's and the power goes up. Magic! I see things like,
1). A sixth gear for highway speeds. What would our engines do with 450 to 500 rpm improvement at 80 mph.
2). A quality cruise control. Big help on long distance rides

3). Superior design in the strength of the Transmition. The weakest link in the drive train.

Am I missing the boat?

No mate you are on board with I would guess a lot of other owners, but I speak from my Rocket experience others may differ in their opinions
(1) 5 speed gearboxes where 5th is not a true overdrive went out decades ago, with the torque of the Rocket it could run a very tall 5th or even better 6th gear , given the low redline the Rockets would benefit from a taller top gear to take advantage of its low down torque
(2) Cruise control conversions are available, I prefer a quality throttle lock like the KOAKO I use
(3) I could not agree more , absolutely the Achilles heel of the Rocket is the drive line

As Rolls Royce quote the Power is adequate for the task so leave the engine alone and fix the dodgy gearbox /assembly line and think about an overdrive
