Depends on the dates chosen whether I can go or not but I voted for Nyngan because I find that the smaller towns are more friendly than the bigger ones.
A few of us stayed at the Cabins in Nyngan a few years back & they drove us into the RSL club for dinner & picked us up later.
Some mates stayed at Bathurst last year & some Ice addict kicked over 2 of their bikes. Don't worry, they caught him & gave him a touch up before the cops got there.
Ice is the scourge of a lot of our Country towns , with high unemployment and people with no prospects of improving themselves or on Government handouts and nothing to do ,resulting in a lot of our previously friendly safe towns being no go zones after dark,
Sorry to throw a spanner in the works, but I just thought Tamworth would be good for our Qld Mates and not too fat for the NSW crew also a nice inland ride for the Victorians and the New England area is nice and good ride over to Nundle that has a lot of Historical interest and a Great Pub

That's why I avoid Dubbo. The caravan park is a couple of blocks off the main street and has a large park frontage where locals are known to gather ... I'm trying to be politically correct here ..... there is a problem after dark.
I often stay in a Motel there for work and often observe the nightlife from behind a fence ..... just not comfortable. Tamworth is a good run though.
