[Triple Trouble]

You and me brother, I think the red and silver looks great,all I have to do is diet and get down to the bean pole 90Kg size of my youth when my 650 Saint seemed so large and powerful, I have the new bike itch again so when they are available I may give piggy a shake and just buy one ,I don't plan on living wondering if I should do things at my time in life.

I remember getting rid of my '70 Bonneville and buying a '73 850 Commando and wondering if I had made a huge mistake buying such a big heavy bike! I still have it and it looks like a bicycle now sitting next to the Rocket. I am thinking that a 1200 Bonnie might well be in my future

Yellow springs are the signature of Ohlins. Its a signal to those who value such things that the bike has a top shelf suspension.

Sorry, there are limits to what I know.

Only knew about the Ohlins springs because I put a set on my blue and white K1200RS and red R1200GS. I may not have been a good enough rider to fully utilize the advantages of the Ohlins but that didn't stop me from showing off the yellow springs.

I was going to trade my s3 for a R3 but it looks like it might be smarter to wait a bit to see what else is comin down the pipe.

Pretty much everything is public now. Triumph has committed to progressively release 20 or so more new models (including upgrades) in the next 5 years, so you can't rule out changes to the Rocket, Speed Triple, Explorer and some of the cruisers along with some brand new offerings such as the Bobber. My guess would be the America will eventually get the new 900 motor from the Street Twin and the Speedmaster the 1200, but that is just a guess.

As always, there'll be speculation and red herrings. If I was making new bikes and didn't want the world to know too much about the detail I'd "slip" something out on a secret test ride as a distraction. A bit like the illusionist who gets you looking at one hand while he does something sneaky with the other. Also, if I was wanting to get some feedback on whether a new model/change might work, I'd try to get some "spy" photos published and let social media conduct the market research for me. Just saying'.

I will also say that there is nothing being whispered about the end of the Rocket and I saw a heap of them rolling through the factory just the other day. If anything I'd be expecting only some styling changes down the track but 2300cc seems here to stay.

And if you're wanting to speculate on other new models, think in terms of how Triumph might be looking to attract younger riders.

There's a good chance a 1200 T120 (NOT BLACK) could be in my garage when they are released.
Probably get rid of a couple of BMW's then.
