It's the first bike I've had that kept me from looking for another.
Funny, I am always looking at bikes. Shortly after buying a new bike, I found myself searching on line for what else was out there. For a while I think it was to upgrade engine size. Went from a 750 (Honda Aero) to 1300 (Yamaha V-Star). In between I owned, and totaled, a 93 Victory.
Bought a new 2009 Yamaha Raider 1900 - Love that bike. Did lots of mods to make it my own. Have it just the way I want it. Handles great for what it is with the raked out front end and all. Not a corner carver but corners well enough. (Always been a cruiser rider so not aware personally of real corner carvers...) Love the power. And I still think it is a great looking bike. Important!?
Thought I wanted a tourer but did not want a Harley or Gold Wing. Bought the Victory Vision. Great bike. Glides down the road. Decent storage. Only bike I've owned wherein I kept the factory seat. Crazy comfy. Only mod was a two into one exhaust. Took it on more than a few long rides. And yet within 6 months when planning a long trip, I ended up taking the Raider as it is just more fun to ride. Recently completed an 1800 mile week long road trip on the Raider.
I stated in another post I had looked at and considered the Rocket a few times...Only recently took the plunge and bought a 2012 Roadster. LOVE IT!
The Roadster IS everything I want in a bike - power, handling, looks...Making a few mods for visibility, long distance riding, and comfort.
Long story short, an ability I lack so not sure why I say that:
I'm thinking that the Roadster may be the first bike to keep me from looking for another.
