2007 Rocket III sudden illness has me baffled? Help keep my money out of stealerships pockets.

All we will be able to get in the UK from next year will be E10. I am hoping that as Triumph say E10 is safe to use that it won't screw up my fuel system. I am still worried. I have purchased some Lucas E10 fuel treatment and am hoping this will stop any problems.
Mike, as long as you don't let the E10 sit in your tank for long periods of time you should be OK. I have friends in the marine industry who have displays with E10 in test tubes which shows the degree of separation over time. It destroys boat outboard motors and the marine industry has lobbied our Congress to not make this rubbish fuel mandatory.

Once the ethanol separates from the gasoline, cannot be recombined. Keep your fuel fresh and you should be OK. With that said, I have friends who tell me they leave E10 in a vehicles for over a year and it still works fine so go figure. I believe the photos are the best proof we need to to keep this crappy ethanol/fuel mixture as fresh as you can.

Hopefully the Lucas E10 fuel stabilizer i have will save the fuel when when i store the bike for the winter as without stripping down the fuel pump and injectors i won't be able to remove all the this crappy fuel from the bike.

I have a bottle of it and like Lucas products. What my friends in the marine industry tell me is that those will not halt the separation of the gas and ethanol. I don't know if they are correct but it seems it should at least inhibit it. I must admit that I've left E10 in the tanks over the winter, with an additive, and the bikes still run fine. What I don't know is if I've had some physical degradation of parts.
