If her friend is still there i will come from Tennessee to see if i can help

I really hate to read threads like this that show just how much damage ethanol fuel can cause to plastic and rubber fuel system parts, especially since my Army son now has my 07 Classic out in Maryland and rarely rides it. Over the winter he did remove the tank and replace it with fresh fuel but it's still evil stuff and he still rarely gets out on a ride. I use it in my present 3 bikes just because it's mostly what is available. However, I either dump the tanks or just use up the E10 fuel in them at the end of the summer, fill them with non-ethanol, ride them for about 10 miles and lay them up for the winter.

Good luck with your repairs my friend.

All we will be able to get in the UK from next year will be E10. I am hoping that as Triumph say E10 is safe to use that it won't screw up my fuel system. I am still worried. I have purchased some Lucas E10 fuel treatment and am hoping this will stop any problems.

The Gates fuel line I got from Amazon, don't look very special. Only one layer of thread. Seems harder than regular fuel line. Expensive for sure, about $2 per inch !!!! ouch !!!!
