2005 Rocket Speedometer jumped 80,000 miles instorage

Ok I know it seem nuts but I have a few battery issues and finely replaced the battery. When I put it away for the winter it had 6260 miles on it took it out and it now has 86,000 + Can the spedo Glitch from an battery issue?

Dang it! I looked at my 05 Rocket this morning and it said over 75,000 miles! How'd those things get on there! Seriously, I think you would be the 1st with this problem.

Must have had some type of short in it. First I ever heard of having that problem.

After 79,740 miles it should look like tar in there.

Any dust inside the ends of your exhaust.
Oh, you said you had ridden it - so forget that.

When last did you go in for an Alzheimer's test?

Old battery made the 8 look like a 0? Or is it really possible to have Rocket for 8 years and only use 3 tanks or fuel a year?

Just saw this and HAD to pass it on . . .

A Scottish Soldier, in full dress uniform, marchesinto a pharmacy.
Very carefully he opens his sporran and pulls out a neatly folded cotton bandana, unfolds it to reveal a smaller silk square handkerchief, which he also unfolds - to reveal a condom.
The condom has a number of patches on it.The chemist holds it up and eyes it critically.
"How much to repair it?' The Scot asks the chemist.
"Six pence" says the chemist.
"How much for a new one?"
"Ten pence" says the chemist.
The Scot painstakingly folds the condom into the silk square handkerchief and the cotton bandana,replaces it carefully in his sporran, and marches out of the door, shoulders back and kilt swinging.
A moment or two later the chemist hears a great shout go up outside, followed by an even greater shout.
The Scottish soldier marches back into the chemist’s and addresses the proprietor, this time with a grin on his face.

"The regiment has taken a vote," he says.
We'll have a new one."

The bike had 4250 when I got it I just looked at the title. It is super clean. I did find another post on Triumphrat where a guy went for a short ride and his bike gained 17000 miles. It was an 05 also. Link below. So I'm not nuts.
