20,000 mile service

Mindboggling, isn't it, Mike.

Myself and an other former member here made a big stink directly with Triumph corporate over that omission about 7-8 years ago and then, again, several years later. We suggested that they at least put out a service bulletin to their dealership network, which they may have done, albeit, in a rather non-robust, ineffective way and we also recommended that they either create printable, online addendums for both the owner's manual , as well as the shop manual(s) that could be easilyadded to those documents for future reference by all R3 ownwers. This is what our suggestions were met with...

I guess we have to do the job ourselves or face expensive repair bills.
Thankfully this great forum is keeping us all informed of the problems of owning a Rocket 3

My manual says check valves at 20K, 40K 60K...
That is correct Triumph UK sent out a Bullet point Memo to all US dealers in 2012 that It had changed from 10K to 20K for the Valve check. I also called Triumph UK to confirm and was told by the guys who make them It's 20k for the valve check.

First valve check is due at 10K, the next at 30k and the next after that at 60K, Bobby. Since he knows that the valves were done at 15K, that's off the tare list for about 10,000 more miles.

Kim, I believe that your most immediate concern is lubing the splines and replacing the final drive fluid. The balance is fairly routine and, likely, less consequential.

Keep us posted!
The Valve check service was changed from 10K to 20K back in 2012-2013. Valve check service is 20K-40K-60K
