This may well be true, but explain why I'm always looking for another gear when I'm all ready in 5th gear.

This was a huge problem when I rode my Kawasaki V2K. Those shipped to the states were woefully under geared. Even with loud headers, I do not find the need for a taller gear. The truth is that when I'm tapped out in 5th, I down shift to 4th for an extra 5 miles an hour.

AND a modded bike with 250+ HP and 9 K rev limit has no need for a 6th gear But if you want a low end trq stroker highway cruiser the 6th gear sounds great

So you still have your speed limited on Kong?

Been riding my Rocket for 13 years. I still try to shift into 6th.

Nope. It won't pull red line in 5th and does better in 4th.

And if you do get the sixth gear then you will be looking for seventh gear
