The problem now is - if you go on spares availability - approx every third item is not available or obsoleted off. I know you can get certain parts from 3rd party suppliers but they seem to be ceasing support of certain areas - and I'm in the UK.
Never pictured the goldwing as a hot rod. Just a very comfortable heavy duty touring bike. Owned one back in 96 and hated it. (SE version) Looking at the new ones they look sharp. Really like the touring version.

A friend traded his Rocket for one kept it 5 weeks and traded the Wing in on another New Rocket I tested the Wing was not a bike for me I dont need all the luggage bags etc

I can tour long distances just fine with my R3R (properly set up).
Given your lilliputian tendencies, I can surely see that with your new Super Duke, why a more spacious motor with stretched ergos would be sweet for those long distance rides.
