I have a problem with my bike, i have taken it to the dealer and they say its nothing wrong with and that its normal cam noise.

Has anyone experienced a sound coming from the engine which sounds something like a loose timing chain or as if you have like a couple of loose washer that are sitting on a vibrating surface, something in those lines??
I was told that they checked and the valves were operating normally, the key way is fine and that its just a noise that the cam makes. This noise started about 4-5 weeks after i bought the bike.

If anyone has or had this problem, please fill me in. I appreciate it.

I think nearly every one here has had a noise coming from there motor,mine make a noise like a ball bearing in a tin can as does alot of other bikes.Rockets that is

It may be in my head but it seems that the "pinging" is more
noticable on mine when I use higher octane petrol. Try 89 and see
if that makes a difference.

If the noise is severe try another mechanic and get a second opinion.
