ARE YOU KIDDING ME the vemax is not any good for long distance riding if you get 180ks ( 110 miles)out of a tank you would have to be riding very gently indeed with only a 15 liter tank and a engine thirster than an r3, while the r3 will get over 360ks out of a tank

Ive tested the MAX and the Diavel and they are not cruisers and are very uncomfortable

Triumph claimed 2.8 secs when they first came out in '04. That was likely in derestricted form. My bike came with a Triumph dvd which claimed that.

I love this argument. I've had it with a friend many times, and we never convince the other of our point.

At the end of the day every machine is different, and the value of comparing them is in direct proportion to their similarities, not their differences. There aren't a lot of articles written comparing a Road King to a Panigale Superleggera because they have so little in common that there is little value in the comparison. Similarly, the Diavel has so little in common with any proper cruiser there is no real value in comparing them. The same (I feel) applies to the Vmax to a lesser extent.

If you had to pick one of the 3 to do an iron butt on, which one would it be? If you had to pick one to ride 2 up, which would it be? If you had 4 weeks worth of supplies and equipment to haul, which bike would you want? These are tasks for a cruiser. These are tasks that the Diavel is MISERABLE for, and the Vmax isn't much better. I wanted a CRUISER, and I wanted the biggest, meanest, fastest cruiser around... I did NOT want a sport bike that snuck into the cruiser comparo on a technicality.

The writers don't know what to do with the Rocket, triumph muddied the water with both models by not picking a market for the bike. The R3t to me looks like a Road King killer but all the reviews are against the goldwing lux tour vs cruise tour. the roadster is just too much bike for the average cruiser rider to handle. most people buy harleys as their first bike and it shows.
