    2.5 using oil

My hybrid fix with one larger o-ring and one stock size finally failed. I just the other day installed two of the stock size as Triumph intended. We'll see how long they last. I wonder how many people have this leak and don't realize it.

    Wheel Tools

I probably misunderstood and you already know this, but the rear wheel spindle bolt does not need to be removed to remove the wheel. See page 184 in the service manual about lubing the needle roller bearings. That's when you'd need to remove that bolt. The rear wheel is held on by the lug...

    Am I crazy!!

I had a Speed Triple for a while. I've always thought of the new Rockets as Speed Triples on steroids. The 3GT will let you just cruise when you want to- very tame, until you pull on her ears, whereas the speed triple always wants you to get on it. You're going to love it- guaranteed...

Unexpected engine pulsing in 4th gear

Yeah, sounds like something I might have tried trying to figure out what's going on, but as @Protonhound said- obviously not a good idea. How many miles are on the bike? You said you might be hearing it from the drive shaft. Have you inspected and lubed the splines? I don't think most people...

Harley Davidson Reveals ‘MOST POWERFUL PRODUCTION BIKE EVER'

The CVO Road Glide RR, built on Harley’s touring platform, features a 131 cubic-inch motor that produces 153 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. Riders will be hard pressed to get their hands on one though, as only 131 units will be produced, while its price tag is a scorching $110,000. :roll...

In my opinion they're two radically different looking bikes.

Ultimate lean angle on a Rocket III Roadster without falling over?

I rubbed off the little balls on my Roadster and got pretty comfortable dragging the pegs. There's a little more room on your chicken strips to go. Since going down a while back on my R3 I'm a little more conservative these days and mention that to say, don't take my statement above as meant...

No Power When Ignition Turned to On

You probably know this, but in case someone comes across jumping the battery with a car in a search- you do not want to start the car. Just use the battery.... Your ignition switch could be fried (loose wire inside). Try getting a hand on the wires going into the switch and see if moving them...

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

There's a lot more knowledge out there on the 2.3s. Tell us a little more- mileage, original clutch- someone will want to know what oil you're using......

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

It's not that bad if you have tiny hands like a 12 year-old Thailand girl to get to some of the fasteners. :-) It doable, just a pain in my opinion. Other gaskets, etc required. I think I listed everything....

Mine were close enough. Use TuneECU to check and adjust, if necessary.

Question about Noise while releasing clutch

I wish that had worked for you- if no bubbles and you're doing it correctly, you must have something else going on. If it were me I wouldn't obsess over it until you get to the 20K service when you can have a look at the clutch to check for wear, etc. Getting to the bleed nipple at the bottom...

    10K Self Service

If you're inclined to do it you can, although compared to the 2.3s it is definitely more of a PIA. Here's what you need to know, but you will want to follow along in the manual, as well. Use the one I submitted with the searchable feature here...

Latest Mod - USB on the "dash"

That's it. Just be careful drilling the hole. Pay attention to the clearance inside which determines where to drill. My cut was kinda imperfect, but the outlet covers it, so it really doesn't matter. The one on the other side is for my auxillary lights. The USB and these short cords work...

Latest Mod - USB on the "dash"

It's drilled and held in place with the jam nut that comes with the USB. Been there for about 18 months without issue and soooooo muchhhhhh better than adapting the DIN plug- whatever the he11 that's for, anyway....

New 2.5L owner, things I hate about the motorcycle.

BIG +1 on the QuadLock with vibration damper. As for the DIN up front, I got tired of using a big adapter and installed a proper flush mounted USB.... https://www.r3owners.net/threads/latest-mod-usb-on-the-dash.53152/

    Checking Oil

If so, most likely the gear position sensor is leaking, not the gasket, although it may appear that way before you check the sensor. As to checking the oil level I check mine regularly. My bike uses oil. I got it used and don't think it was properly broken in...
