I believe that’s oil from the crankcase vent. There is a clear rubber bulb at the far bottom right that could have more.
One more good reason to do your own work. The dealer isn’t likely to clean that up like you will
I've been running Exedra Max on the rear since owning a 2.3 Roadster, now religiously on the 3R. Not a fan of the Avons. The Cruistecs are very good, but the company can't seem to figure out how to actually produce them after teaming up with Triumph to be the new official tire for the Rocket...
I think it's intermittent though like yours. It's running fine now. You mean even so- might show an issue? I'll give it a go.
Hoping to do a 4 - 5 day trip next week (to be determined). I just changed the oil and put on a new rear tire. What else does she want?
But I'm wondering, since we were getting different codes, if I should change the coolant temperature sensor, not the Fan, PWM Controller.
My code was P0117 (coolant temperature sensor)
Your code was P1552 (cooling fan)
Did your bike seem like it was actually overheating? I would think so if...
Nothing like this forum and the people on it to help get you back on the road again, smiling. Thanks @Nashvegas
Were you also getting this same P0117 code? That points to the coolant temperature sensor, but if the fan isn't coming on that makes sense. I may change it and the Fan, PWM...
Has anyone had a coolant temperature sensor go bad on the 2.5s? I was about 10 miles from home when my engine check light came on and a temperature warning. It brought up the temperature gauge and it was pegged all the way to the top (solid red)! I pulled over immediately.
The bike didn't seem...
The photo I posted previously was the front tire on my '11 Roadster. But, it IS a Michelin Road 5 rear tire (150/70ZR17, reversed direction), run on the front, so maybe it doesn't count... (this setup is favored by many 2.3 riders)
Memory is a fleeting thing. I looked up my old post and the wire was actually broken about an inch above the solder. Not sure how to explain that...

Absolutely- go for it. I tour a fair bit on my 3R with camping gear and did more on my '11 Roadster before that.
If you clip the western end of NC let me know. Have a great trip.
The larger rear effectively shortens the rake making handling quicker (turn in easier). The fender mod is super easy to do and recommended. I keep it well below 130 mph so the rating is fine on the other front tires. Fender mod below…...
