Zard and a ramair? Help?

Try JHS dyno , just outside of Bristol on the bath road . He specialises in Triumph tuning and is where I take mine !

I think it's a flat rate of £200 for a custom tune ? I'm not sure if he tunes via tune ecu , I have a PCV but I can't see why he wouldn't? He knows his onions for sure ! I had to wait 2 months for my slot , he's really busy . Why your at it , he can open the secondarys , take any restrictions out and lower the running temp a tad , all seems to make the front end far lighter for some reason .

@Penner Just out of curiosity, where do you think the loss comes from? Lack of back pressure and pulsing since they are so short?

When i first got my R3R, I was looking at the Penta until I saw they wouldn't fit with the ABS underneath. Even though the R3R is gone now, quite glad I couldn't buy them lol

As the exhaust has EU-homologation and hardly any volume to reduce noise emissions, they had to baffle it extremly.
I think, that is the main reason.
And these exhausts are not made for performance. It is all about looks and sound.
They don´t dyno them.

There is a pipe made by Dave Platt that looks very similar - iirc that too was a bit lacking.

TRIUMPH ROCKET 3 2300cc SHORTY EXHAUST | eBay

Flow? - what flow?.

That’s what I had on mine when I purchased her, replaced with the full stainless Zard as I like the look and sound plus it was cheap on eBay (no way I would I pay the retail price).
Noticed DP has increased the price by £100 recently not a small increase! Mr Penner please can you recommend an available tune ecu map for my current set up please? Zard full system 3x K&N’s on a 2004 standard, many thanks in advance.

Sorry, no map. I just had a Roadster with this configuratoin.
The dyno graph was much better than with the Penta. But not quite as good as with stock exhaust and a good map.
So I think, that a good derestricted map could do the job and just run a little rich.
In the long run you should get it dynoed.

Ok many thanks. Just been quoted £420 to have tuned via tune ecu locally, seems a little strong seeing how it aready has a known good map installed, any thoughts?
