Your Opinion Of "Liquid Glass"

I've always used the Mother's 3 step cleaning/wax products and they work fine, but I've been reading great opinions on Amazon about a wax named "Liquid Glass". If you've used it on your Rocket what's your opinion about it compared to other waxes?

I haven't done the R3 yet but I use a product called Zaino on my car every couple of years. I wash with Dawn to strip it, clay it and then use the Zaino for an unbelievable shine. I will do the bike this spring to see how it comes out. I am of the school that says if you want really shiny you need a perfectly clean surface, which is where the clay bar comes into play and that is the one thing I see missing from the Liquid Glass "system".

Never heard of a "clay" bar. I use mothers or maguires. More info please?

A clay bar is used to really clean your car's surface of contaminants. I do it to every new car I buy and then try to do it yearly afterward. I usually don't get the yearly but will not go more than 2 years. Here is a nice webpage that talks about why and how to use a clay bar.

I use that on my acoustic guitars believe it or not. For the bike - Windex.

I've used a clay bar on my cars for a few years now and it's amazing the deep grime that gets lifted out and the silky smooth feel afterwards. The correct lubricant with it is essential too.

A "clay bar" consists of an abrasive media suspended in artificial clay. You can get low or high abrasive types. You can also use it with liquid rubbing compound to "up" the abrasiveness. It's really good at removing debris stuck to paint or over spray. It must be used with soapy water or some form of lubricant like a quick wax. Never, ever use it on a dry surface. If used wrong it will haze up your paint or clear coat. I have never found a need to use it on a bike stored inside. On cars especially ones left outside yes.
