Would you part ways with your Rocket?

i am one of the few who actually was insane enough to start learning how on this bike(took basic rider course which helped a great deal). Well, a year later and almost 13k miles never dropped this bike has been everything i hoped for and more. Will never part with it; have about 4500 left to pay the loan holder and man i can't wait
 
It is easy to get to ,but a PITA to line up the blade that turns the pump with the drive ,also the hose at the back of the pump has to be pushed up out of the way to allow the pump to slide through the engine block neatly as to not damage the O ring ,a fiddley job not as easy as it looks
 
In regards to the original question. I bought 'Prudence' with both a pragmatic 'finite' as well as an open-ended term if she worked out. She has gotten deep under my skin in our 10 months together and I now find myself simply hoping life doesn't make me give up her, or my beloved 06 K1200R, or both.

Three seats, two sets of bars, three different sets of foot controls, two windshields and a fly screen not to mention a set of lowers. All I have to show for it is boxes of parts I would be lucky to get a quarter of what I paid for them. I'm done sinking money into this thing. I'll ride it the way I have it now and I'll enjoy it, but make no mistake I'm not buying another one.
 
This looks like the most practical 'Trike" adaptation yet.

I met this fellow at the Seattle International bike show a few years ago when he had the front end on a V-Max.
VERY sharp individual and interesting to speak with!
The reverse trike is the best way IMHO.
Sure would like to see what lean angles can be obtained and ride one.

well between the forum info and my own investigation I have come to the conclusion based on what I felt riding that most likely the clutch is the culprit I believed the gearbox was the problem but I found no metal in the sump oil pick up nor in the oil filter it could not have been in the driveline either due to the footpegs transfer of noise and grating . and the cam , chain tappets assemblywould not generate what I felt either . I am left with the clutch and the more I think of it plus what other captains from down under have posted I bet it is there. so I will change the clutch this fall for a barnett assembly with MTC friction plates. and if that does not cure the problem I will sell the bike ..period.
 
you could build a dolly to spin the beast around if that is the biggest impediment to keeping this monster in your garage can't seem to upload the video about my dolly sorry
