Won’t start 😢

NEVER, EVER wash your controls! Cover them with plastic bags or plastic wrap. This could also be the starter relay.
so never ever ride in rain as well?

Use a bike dryer.
I've always washed the switch gear on my KTM (but with a damp cloth, never with a hosepipe or pressure washer) and blown them dry afterwards and I've never had a single problem in 60,000 miles.
I'm more wary of analogue instrument panels because many can be prone to fogging and unlike switch gear you can't blow the internals dry. Some you can't take apart at all.
I'm less concerned with TFTs because they're constructed differently, but there's no reason to drench them when a cloth will get them clean.
