GT Wont Start, no display Help please!

I had my bike apart for a few months painting it, and had taken the display off. I put it all back together this week and now cant get the display to light up. It only has the occasional red light flash. I connected the battery first, then the screen, then disconnected the battery and reconnected it with the screen connected-nothing. I tried the keyfob up front, on left rear fender, regular key against fender, clutch in, clutch out, start button pushed while holding fob and regular key (separately), and nothing. Couldnt find any answers here. The fob is on, ignition on, and its in neutral.

Was gonna get this inspected in the morning. Help!

Dumbass me, I didn't reattach the steering lock. Don't even remember disconnecting it. All good now.

Ah. Don't you love those moments? When you're sure that you've done everything by the book and by rights it should be working. You double check everything and try, again and again, preying that she will fire up this time if you hold your tongue just right.
Then you find it.
Lol. I think that we have all been there, with one thing or another.
Glad that you sorted it out and also gave everyone a heads up to, what appears to be, a vital part of the circuitry. Anti theft, I suspect.
