I just put one of these on my 2013 Roadster. Never really liked windshields. I got the 25" extra wide, with recurve. It's nice, but I do have to look through the screen, (6'2") and I don't really like it. Only thing that gets any buffeting, is the very top of my head. Also, the wind has a BIG effect on the steering. Seeing as how I've been using my 2005 more, I figure I'll make this one with the screen, as my ruff weather bike, cold, rain, etc. I'm keeping the 05 naked, as my dash to the diner, etc. bike.

cooter, i can't stand the clear shields like the one you're using. not calling your baby ugly, just to each his own.

hearing no yeas or nays for any specific one of the four shields i listed, i ended up getting the 10.5" dark tint National City V-Stream at $120

i'll report back...

yea, right, do an iron-butt with no shield, not me! i prefer to keep my arms attached to my shoulders without having replacement surgery

I love having the option of removing the windshield. On a day I'm just putting on 35-45mph roads I take it off. For freeway blasts I keep it on.

The issue of wind noise, buffeting and the bugs in the teeth all seem to be points of contention. I now have a fairing and sometimes I think I've taken a step backwards. The best I've found for the wind problems was the addition of a recurve. The name brand was a Lamar Lip. For the Captains who haven't seen one check them out on line. I thought the $100.00 for it was well spent.
