Triumph Rocket 3 R
Good evening . Can anyone suggest a good windshield for the Rocket 3 R, which is efficient, not too big, and which doesn't spoil the aesthetics of the bike?

TRIUMPH ROCKET 3 R 20-23/ROCKET 3 GT 20-23 (475 MM HIGH)/LIGHT TINT - POWERBRONZE. Has anyone tried it?

I have the mid size clear on my Rocket (in your pictures) and have had it for around 18 months. It is better than the OEM but no where as good as the OEM windshield on my 2014 Rocket that Rainman is cruising around with now. It is decent at freeway speeds as most of the wind hits your head and over so you need a full face on the freeway at higher speeds. I have been on a couple of 300 mile a day trips and it's sufficient. Not the best but good enough if you get my drift. I'm 5'9" and about 180 lbs so I believe your height will have a barring on the wind flow. I would probably buy another one so I guess if I were going to give it a grade it would be a C+. Middle of the road, fine, okay, adequate but not real good but not bad. Hope I helped.

Thank you . you were very kind, and very detailed in your explanation. do you have the transparent color or the slightly smoked one? Which is better in color? my Rocket is Red

I have fitted a Madstad to my 2020 R3R - very happy with it. Doesnt look like an after-market addition and doesnt spoil the aesthetics. Length and tint options were available when I purchased.

what size did you fit? and it vibrates above 80 mph?

The vibration depends on your bike. My Powerbronze doesn't vibrate at all. I have the clear shield. It's a preference and the tint looks good although to me it stands out more than the clear one. You should get more opinions on the Madstad and see if that appeals more. The Powerbronze is under $200 so if you don't like it you're not breaking the bank and you can try others. It's an adequate shield for the size. I'm repeating myself.:)

Excuse me . I expressed myself badly: I meant if the windshield flexes at high speeds: I have read that some owners of this windshield have had problems because it flexed so much above 85 mph. And then I wanted to know: can it also protect the upper part of the body (neck and head) from the wind? you have the intermediate size right?

Yes I have the mid size and correct, it does bend down the faster you go. At 75 to 80 mph there is zero problems and the wind is minimal. If you take it up to 90 plus it will bend down the faster you go and have less wind blockage. The tightening of the screws is a challenge the first few months as you have to find the snug spot and not over tighten. Like I said, it serves it's purpose for a mid size screen under $200 but it is far from perfect although you're going to make me say it again, it's adequate for my style of riding which is off freeway on the back roads it's very good. On the freeway over 90 plus mph or so it doesn't block much wind. With your height it may be different. Good luck.
