Windshield extender?

Sorry Punkdave, my typographical screw up! I meant they do not have one to fit the standard screen - only one for the Roadster..:

"Hello Dr. Ward,

Sorry to say, we do not have product for the smaller "summer" shield on the Rocket III.

Safe and pleasant rides,
Leo"

Anyone have any pictures of "the lip" on an R3T? The Laminar website has just one photo and it isn't the greatest...

I have just enough buffetting that riding with the windshield attached is bugging me more and more. I think the Roadster is too big (and expensive) so I am looking for ways to change the airflow with the standard R3T shield.

Anyone else tried anything any different?

I did pull the Plexi Lowers off (and left the chrome bits) so that I could get a little more airflow around the engine to help with these Hot Texas Summer rides....it definately helped a little. Now if I reduce the buffetting, I'll be extremely happy....lately, I have been riding without the shield at all....not a good answer for the longer trips.

Leo,
The one that comes with the bike is the "Standard" screen, the accessory screen (Roadster I assume) is the larger one that's 6" taller and costs $499 from Triumph, the "Summer" screen is the little flyscreen that is a accessory for looks more than protection..
The Laminar lip will fit the standard or Roadster screen... On my standard screen it is about 1/2" wider on each side, but looks just fine. (Sorry the photo isn't the greatest..

Hi Dave,

Does it work well on the Standard screen - this may solve my problem if it does!

I'm pretty happy with it... The scotchlock isn't a good answer for me because of the rediculous cruising speeds I travel at, but now that I know it's a good shield, I'll be drilling and screwing it on permanantly..
