Windshield Alternative

Great info from all. actually timely for me as looking to do something soon.
I guess one concern is if the screen is strong enough with just the 4 bolts instead of all the bracing.
I have only had a few quick rides on other riders bikes with windshields and did not like any of them, it seems the wind that was kept off my chest was directed to my helmet.
Probably a case of getting the right screen and the right height.
Hec4sc thanks for posting the info, I will try that.

I've had mine up to 130+ with the OEM full shield, the Clearview, the 7Jurrock and 140+ with the XL Fly.
No issues with any of them relating to being secure.

I finally took it out for a ride. I rode about a hundred miles and reached 85 mph or so with no issues. I was worried the brackets may start to bend back due to the wind pushing against the shield. I measured the top of the shield to a reference point on the bike, before and after the ride. There was no change. Here’s a couple shots in the wild:

I wanted something like a Windvest that fit our headlights and used the existing mounts.

mine was a lot narrower than the picture shown .... I guess they changed the styling between the time I bought mine and the one on the picture I have somewhere an old picture that will show the diff..

Love it. Do you know if they're made of polycarbonate or lexan?

To answer my own question: Cast Acrylic (aka Lexan without the trademark name)
