Will GT pillion fit to R seat?

R pillion will fit and lock seat but will pushing you forward! I cut it to correct size need only correct cover now in upholstery shop to take a slagging leather out! I don’t like how fat and ugly GT rear seat is and not like solo seat looks! So please no question why!!

I don’t like how fat and thick GT rear seat is! I think this photo will explain what I mean! Glad you did not ask only thinking! I like GT deep cut on driver seat for longer distance and ass comfort and R rear seat for esthetic look, so nothing like that from factory so must do myself, did not like solo seat look of rear fender under strange angle to my eye so something must be done!

Have you considered the "infill" seat?...You remove the backrest and passenger seat and replace with the small infill seat...you will also need the two aluminium infill brackets...It looks very good.

Sparky59 just made me aware of this thread. I just bought a new 2023 Rocket 3 GT. I discovered a small tear under the edge of the seat so my dealer ordered a new seat under warranty. There is a long story here why my new bike was in the shop (drywall screw in the rear tire at 526 miles, no tire to be found except for being gouged for $500 plus tire on Ebay "the only one available on the planet", 600 mile scheduled service, replace seat, nightmare of over $1,200 in new expenses) Anyway, I picked up the bike and rode it home, but when I got home I realized the seat was different from my original. The dealer is sorting it out, so hopefully I will get my bike seat back to it's original status. Pictures tell it all, including my tale of woe! On a final note, I had to let my 2015 touring go as it was just getting to much weight too handle. I love my new GT in spite of all the glitches.

That seat in the photo's and the pillion are for the 'R' model...its easy to tell as the 'R' model pillion is alot flatter profile...and the pillion seat for the 'R' will not fit to a GT seat....without looking wrong..

My understanding from my reading is....the Rocket R seat sits further forward for a more sport riding position. The passenger rest is also longer to accommodate the more forward position of the seat. They apparently put the "R" passenger seat on the new GT seat (it is a GT seat because it sets furtherback on the bike). The dealer sent me a text last night telling me to call this morning because he had it sorted out. The correct passenger seat has been ordered and may be in this week. All is well now in the universe.
