Widowmaker!
I had bought progressive from progressive a year ago and they were an improvement but after Paul’s thread I wanted the emulators and then found they don’t recommend using progressive springs with the emulators so I just went back to my originals ( they have springs they offer with the emulators) when I installed the emulators, they send you a card with a number that you put in on there website and insert your parameters in a field box and the computer generates which springs and adjustment to get you close with the info you insert, weight, riding style, feel you won’t, etc etc, for me it was 64lb springs (yellow) with 5 turns in and a 130 mm air gap, 15wt oil, for me it was remove dampers drill an additional 4 holes in each (5/16) they show you where, reinstall damper tubes and drop in emulators (In the correct direction spring up) then drop in fork spring, then washer then spacer tube (08 models use stock oem spacer tube I don’t know why only 08 it’s just what directions say plainly) reinstall cap torque and that’s it, to adjust damper remove cap and with a magnet tool remove spacer, washer, fork spring and the magnet will grab emulator pull it out and adjust if you need to and reinstall by dropping stuff back in it will fall in place you will not need to remove oil to adjust, to drill them dampners though forks gotta come off and remove dampner by loosening the 6mm Allen that holds dampner, loosen before you remove them forks from bike and you will probably need air or do like I did remove forks and let the battle begin to loosen those Allens either way loosen them before you take loose top caps loose to hold them dampners while trying to loosen those Allen’s. Hope this helps anyone who decides to do at home
