Widow maker journey to the 200hp club

You can’t ride a dyno sheet, how quiet can you make them, oh yeah the r3 is just so lacking in tq, wife thinks I’m loosing it, I say you wouldn’t believe these guys

They are so loud it hurts I can’t even sleep now from head ringing big league and I got 7 hours to be fit for duty, you can’t ride a dyno sheet priceless love it. I’m gonna do in and out just for fun on this thread to see what numbers actually are Monday but they’re gonna have to go back in
One thing to keep in mind regarding interpreting dyno sheets, it isn’t (to me anyway) only about peak numbers! Peak numbers win races, but overall performance is what I’m after. I think I nailed it on my build! I know for sure that others have more peak power, but mine makes more everywhere except at the top of the chart. Just depends on what your after really! And I mean nothing negative to anyone who sees it differently. I still suck at 1/4 mile.....the things too unruly to really nail it. It either lights up the rear tire like they are free, or lifts the front or both at the same time, which I’m sure looks awesome but is pretty sketchy.....all that said, anything north of 200 is massive fun!

Reading the graph and reading the numbers are two different things , as you have pointed out. Also one must bear in mind that only a select few alien skill type riders ever ride the bike like the power is presented on a dyno sheet. Almost no-one, ever, ever, rides the bike WOT for more than maybe 10 seconds at a time. Even if the throttle is wide open, do you actually go from 1800rpm to 7000rpm with the throttle wide open?

yes
1st but not very often
2nd 6000 to 7000
my rev limit i think is set @ 6800 but that is pretty close
really hard to keep track of that tack in that range
of coarse i am still running almost stock:roll:

I posted on you tube, Triumph Rocket d and d pipes no baffles, couldn’t figure out how to get on forum if anyone wants to hear

To be honest I don’t have a clue how to interpret a dyno sheet, I’m only doing a baseline for reference as others might want to derestrict a touring and maybe this will help with some basic numbers for an idea of what can be obtained. Your post points exactly as to why I will only be adding oz pipes and a set of cams from the man in the tin shed if I’m lucky enough to get his stuff, I know this won’t get me to 200 this was kinda a fun thread name to generate interest and have some fun, I’m not an alien rider and this setup will probably max me out capability wise where I can whoop a lot on the street and have some fun at track in street class.
