Find a store that deals in Radio Control Hobbies. Ask for some CA debonder. Its some kind of oily stuff that manages to dissolve the glue. Most super glue is a type of cyanoacrylate so it should lift it without damaging the paint. Or you can try acetone, but no gaurantee as to what it will do to the paint.

I've never really understood the point of tank pads. I don't want scratches or wear marks on my paint cos that will look unsightly - so I'll stick a big ole slab of rubber on there ... much better???

Why pay for protective pads fer some-one else's benefit of pristine paint-work ?.
Any-ways the Triumph tank-pads, are Pug-Ugly I reckon !!.

The pads have gone.I have just left the little dots of glue on the tank,not tried to remove the glue because you cannot really see it unless you know where to look.

Yep, they were shot. Our foreign affairs minister even offered to have them transferred to an Australian prison and jailed here at our expense, we expect others to abide by our laws but some are not happy abiding by another countries laws. So........ those knee pads are a joke, I cleaned down the tank with an alcohol wipe, put them on on a warm day so as they followed the tank contour and they still lifted. Whoever designed the accessories for the rocket didn't put any thought into them. The screen can only go so far without the bolts hitting, the hwy pegs wouldn't stay on the bar - kept dropping (and the chrome peeled out of the box), the bags sag, - have I missed anything??

Was the alcohol swipe with Captain Morgans or Jack Daniels????? There is a difference....
