Who has CES Exhaust?

The heat isn't what bothers me about aftermarket pipes...its having to re-coat them every couple of years due to rust break through on the mild steel headers

This "rust breakthrough" that you have experienced, have these pipes been internally coated ?

Do these heat shields do anything? My Jardines have complete shielding and they are as hot as f..k. I had the headers wrapped and that helps. If CES is coated on the inside, that should help but any exhaust that melts your clothing is not appropriate for everyday riding.

I have the older original CES which came with no heat shields. I ordered a set that is now made by CES and have had them installed through this past summer. They do help as far as the area between your knee and thigh; however your ankles and shin area, when you put your foot down, is very susceptible to being burned by the area between the connector and muffler.
Hotter than stock when stopped, but Oh So worth the performance, sound & look improvements!

one way or another there is no escaping the fact that 2300 cc spewing burning gaz and expelling all that through 3 measly pipes near your leg will always be very uncomfortable no matter what .

If you do much hard riding of a night you will notice CES glow red to the collector, the original pipes did the same thing behind the heat shields if you happen to look down when riding at night.

I have CES headers with CES crossover and TORS, too. There are currently two different dyno results, the lower (and probably realistic) reading says 156 rwhp.
I was very happy in every way with the CES company itself and this great product. Power gain is impressive.

I have posted pics of my CES heatshield solution already, here it is once more. A second stock Triumph heatshield, turned by 180 degrees really does a great job. No more heat issues around the ankle at all, no need for exhaust wraps.

The only drawback: @ozrider's heat shield looks even better. (Is that the new CES shield? I thought it did not make it into production?)
