Where to locate the jack for rear wheel removal

Know that the sump plate on the Rocket is pretty easy to damage .. honeycomb alloy casting and lots and lots of oil galleys running within it. I'd be scared to put a jack anywhere on the sump plate.

Yes that's always a good point to bring up. When I use a Jack on mine I have two 2 X 4 blocks I put on each jack rail to protect the sump.. Fortunately for myself I never use a Jack to lift her anymore. I just pull into the basement and use the 1 ton Chain fall which is much easier and safer. Don't ask me how I know :)

Aluminum is very strong. It will hold a lot of weight. Just doesn't like impact. I have no worries lifting mine by the pan. Just my .0000172 cents worth ;)
