wheel balance weights

I always take them off cos they cause corrosion, never made any noticeable difference, my new bike didn't have any on front or back when it was delivered.

Thanks people. Rims are away for powder coating at the moment. Will ask the tyre fitter to do a wheel balance but simply mark where the weights should go. Will run the wheels without weights. If there is a problem I will consider the dynabeads, and if these have no effect I can always stick the weights on.

PS this video seems to illustrate the dynabead principle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-XHfrIGvoI&feature=related

i have an o7 classic bought january 08 new, i have put 23000 miles on this bike , when the original tire started to wear i was getting a shake in the handlel bars between 40 and 50 mph accellerating and when deeaccellrating, well i lived with it for a while then installed an avon front tire and from new i had the same shake in the handle bars, i allways thought it was the inbalance in the tire tire that was the cause of this, i had a few mechanics ride it and they said dont worry its not as bad as some bikes ,, so i now have installed a new avon tire with dyna beads , this is the third front tire on this bike , first time to use dyna beads , and now i am shake free bike rides smooth as silk , it works for me
