The deformation that takes place using an MC tire is tailored to the forces acting on it, and it deforms in a manner which increases traction as much as possible to counter act the losses incurred from the increased lean angle when cornering, giving the illusion and feel of constant levels throughout the various lean angles. This why there is such a drastic difference between brands for some riders in some cases, it's about the belt design and how it reacts to your particular riding style, and it's also why when most people find "their brand" they stay with it, as most of a companies tire line will have a similar feel based on that companies design philosophy.

The controlled deformation and traction it creates is the #1 reason to stay away from car tires. Straight up, it's a fact,not an opinion, that a MC tire is capable of more lean angle and traction at lean than a car tire on a bike. While a car tire might work for many, those who it does work for aren't really cornering hard, otherwise they'd quickly end up on their ass.

By hard, I meant leaning off the seat, shoulders down,forward, and shifted towards your mirror, ass cheek off seat, rear end drifting if you give a little bit too much throttle. That's hard, if your staying upright in the seat your just playing around.

What I was referring to was MAX friction values, with no other impacting forces.
Wallowing suspension caused by uneven pavement, any braking will seriously further reduce the available friction.

Cheese and rice guys. You are making my head hurt. I just think it would be cool to run a 180 up front and I think it's cool the R3 has the room. I have loved the look ever since I saw Native customs do it on Harley baggers. They sell triple trees that allow you to spread the front forks to fit the tire. A 180 will fit between Harley forks but it leaves no room for a fender. I'm not opposed to running a car tire in the back or a rear tire up front but I draw the line at catching rocks with my forehead. I want to put it together and see what happens. No E=MC squared here. I am happy to see lots of braniacs though. I might need help with my math when the turbo project is under way.

A 225 will fit the rear. However, running a 205 instead, it is difficult to tell the difference in handling.

Does the 225 fit the Touring? I have a 200, I've heard a 205 will fit deflated, then put the air in when mounted. I may be wrong however.
