So I've been considering an exhaust revision and new paint job for a while now.

Exhaust revision will be done on Friday :). Test fitted already and it sounds sooooo much better.

Here's the best part,

Auto and motorcycle

Scroll down to the mirror finished tank. It's powder coating that they can get to look perfect, like paint!

I asked for a ballpark cost so I don't sticker shock later, it's laughably cheap. I was expecting 500-800 or so....

Nope. $100 for single color tank. $85 for single color on fender :0

Looks like I'l be getting new "paint" sooner than expected! They have an airbrushed, pin stripper, and custom painter. Your choice to have it sealed in normal urethane automotive clear or powder coat clear.

The hardest choice is going to be picking a color lol!

Reserved for exhaust pics on Friday and a Dyno of the changes to validate or disprove my theory.

Can, link pipe, and bracket will all be black in the near future.

Test fit so I can build the mounting bracket and ride to the exhaust shop, and they know how the can will sit:

Nice find, Rob!
. . . and in Olympia to boot!
Do you color sand and rub-out the powder coat for that mirror finish?
SO, ALL new headers or modify the CES?
BTW - I got a call from Cal-Moto my TPS is back ordered for another 10 days or so.

It will remain fully compatible as capable of being "as delivered" from CES. After hearing Bulls setup, I realize mine could be much better than it is.

Then I was thinking, hey, I have a really nice 2.25 ID Yoshimura R55 with basically zero miles on it on my Daytona.

It doesn't fit straight on the collector, the back of the can and the swing are interfere, but the link pipe need only be about 6" long with a slight bend, 10-15 degrees at most to make it work.

Sounds 1000000000x better, deeper, angrier, and throws much prettier flames :). It also revs up much much quicker, which is what peaked my interest most, hints that the "extra length" CES muffler may have been more of a restriction that I thought!

Progress is being made, prototype pics added to second post.

I'm sure it will be a polarized taste thing. I love small low mufflers so yeah....

Sound isn't that much louder but the tone and noises are much more satisfying.
