What is the difference in the Model years

Could someone that knows please give me a quick summary of how the model years have evolved since 2005 to the new 2012 model Rocket Roadster.

I am thinking about getting a new 2012 instead of a used one and it would be helpful to know the changes and upgrades over the years.

Was there major changes for 12' or was there another year where big changes were made that are worth noting?

Welcome. You've come to the right place. I'll attempt a quick answer.

2004-2005 Rocket Standard with various SE packages. Silver engines.

2006 Rocket Standard and Classic and some SE packages. Mostly black engines with some leftover silver.

2007 Rocket Standard, Classic and Classic Tourer. Std and Classic had black engines and the Classic Tourer (basically windshield and bags as part of base package) had leftover silver engines.

2008 Rocket Standard and Classic and the introduction of the Rocket Touring (not to be confused with the Classic Tourer).

2009 Basically no changes

2010 Standard and Classic dropped and introduction of the Roadster. Roadster tuned for more power and torque. Touring model unchanged.

2011-2012 mostly unchanged with the addition of ABS on both models.

That's mostly correct.

so the 11 and 12 has abs ????? my 13 does not nor does all the orthers that I have heard so far if bought in the USA

Local dealer has a 2013 Tourer in stock. No ABS on it.

2012 R3Ts sold in Australia are called "R3T ABS". 2011 had it too (can't recall earlier models but I thought they had it too). 2013 not advertised yet. Something sounds very odd if they're now selling them without ABS in the States.

So the only difference from 2010 to 2012 is colors and abs?

I thought I read somewhere that there was improvements in the rear shocks, clutch and shaft drive for 2012? Or did that happen in 2010?

All Roadsters have A.B.S. and supposedly better shockys but there rock hard

I think the only credible claim about Roadster shocks was that they were softer.

Anything after 2007 is slower and less dependable ...

And that is the truth plus the new roadsters only have two exhausts some drunk englishman forgot to put three on or he could not count up to three anyhoo it only has two and does not look as good as the three pipe set up.
Plus they are friggen huge and I mean friggen huge.
