That buck had horns so he was either in rut or just past it. In such case he will be very gregarious, hoping you might smell like female deer, and if you do, maybe there is one near, so he will gladly check you out. It might also be that buck was actually hand raised and released, and it still hangs around.

Except for Darwin's Theory of Evolution which states an organism has to survive to pass on their genes and that spiky definitely isn't goin to last long with all the gun totin deer huntin Americans out there. We need more of that kind of deer and hunters here in Oz where the mongrel animals are destroying our natural environment. BAMBI SUCKS HERE! Not one deer species is native to Oz but we now have six of the bastards established here in the wild. That's on top of the world's largest wild camel population (1,000,000 culled to 300,000 in the last decade), donkeys, horses, foxes, rabbits, cats, carp, redfin, starlings, sparrows, cane toads and humans. Where are the frickin Darleks when you need them

Maybe importing Chihuahuas will clean them all up
