Just had another thought this morning, use google maps off line. All you need to do is download the map area you'll be travelling in & you can use google maps without cell coverage or using up your data plan. This way would be the cheapest & quickest option for ya. Just google how to use google maps offline, the instructions are easy to follow.Trying to figure out how to mount some sort of sat-nav on the R3 GT. I'm a technophobe and my present phone contract won't allow the data I need to run a smartphone nav app. That's the way I'll go eventually but I've got a coastal jaunt planned for tomorrow and I need a quick fix.
I may just buy a Garmin Zumo as they're on offer locally at a very good price, but it's sorting out a bar mount and a charging jack plug. Unfortuantely my local dealership is closed on Mondays.
