What did you do to your Rocket today?

Trying to figure out how to mount some sort of sat-nav on the R3 GT. I'm a technophobe and my present phone contract won't allow the data I need to run a smartphone nav app. That's the way I'll go eventually but I've got a coastal jaunt planned for tomorrow and I need a quick fix.
I may just buy a Garmin Zumo as they're on offer locally at a very good price, but it's sorting out a bar mount and a charging jack plug. Unfortuantely my local dealership is closed on Mondays.
Just had another thought this morning, use google maps off line. All you need to do is download the map area you'll be travelling in & you can use google maps without cell coverage or using up your data plan. This way would be the cheapest & quickest option for ya. Just google how to use google maps offline, the instructions are easy to follow.

Didn't buy a Zuma in the end. Got my old Givi waterproof nav case to fit on the bars so bought a din/usb adaptor. My old Garmin car satnav has been playing up in the car, having trouble acquiring satellites although it's fully updated. I assumed it was obsolete and looked at buying a new one but that wouldn't work in the car either so took it back and got a rerfund. It seems there is something in the car that interferes with it. Either the slightly tinted windows or the heater matrix in the windscreen. Or maybe something to do with the car's wi-fi pairing system.
I'm going to try again with my old one tomorrow on the bike and if that doesn't work I'll just go nav-less and look at setting up my smartphone for navigation when I get back.
