What did you do to your Rocket today?

Looks good, how do you plan to protect the painted edge when you change tires, or are you planning to touch up after?

I will be ready to touch up I reckon. If I did the paint after the tire change, I would have to deal with the weights they put on for balancing. I saw one painter on YouTube paint right over the weights and I thought dang, when those come off there will be a noticeable blank spot.

Indeed it is. I went through a lot of material too and never got it as good as i thought it could be.

I'm back at it again. Time to retape, do touch up and apply the third and final coat of black.
Next will be 3 coat if clear.

The sun set on me and I had to add Auxiliary lighting.

Third coat of clear is done.

This is the makeshift jig I set up to hold the wheel while I painted.

Warranty work was approved for my leaking rear drive seal and top cover gasket. Miss my rocket. Love my fjr 1300 but there is just something about the rocket. I would imagine another 2-4 weeks before I am back on my rocket.

Oh hell, my boots again? Actually I have spent hours cleaning and conditioning the collection. You know the things well love are worth out attention, time and effort. I bet you clean these wheels more often now that they have a priority place in your heart.
