What did you do to your Rocket today?

Lubed splines, changed diff fluid, removed wheel for new tire.

A few little pieces of my winter maintenance schedule.

Left to do:
Adjust headstock bearing
Reset front forks to free and align triples
Drop forks in triple clamps to raise front
Oil Change
Rear brake master cylinder rebuild and fluid flush
Megasquirt installation
Paint tank, radiator shrouds, wheels, trim bits
Try to make a 200/60R16 fit on the Roadster wheel
Fit new shock springs
Recoat Exhaust for 2020 season
Fit drag bars
Fit shorter front brake line
Polish windscreen scratches out
Drop sump to inspect pickup screens

Simple KEEPING IT. Just saw a dyno of the new Indian challenger done by Cycle World. Reality is 103 horsepower at the back wheel. Indian is claiming 122 horse

Claimed horsepower is always at the crank, rear wheel HP is always 10-15% less. I think shaft drive loses more than chain drive, also.

Got a few more items completed:
Adjust headstock bearing - Was a little loose, as suspected.
Reset front forks to free and align triples - Probably not needed after all, did it anyway.
Drop forks in triple clamps to raise front - got about 5mm more height on the front suspension, only care for geometry reasons.
Fit drag bars - Fitted and rerouted everything to make it neater up front, stopped at refitting the fairing, too fiddly for me to deal with right now.

List is getting smaller Last thing will be the Oil Change, in early March, right before I start riding again. Oh man I can't wait to start the 2020 season, it's going to be great to have a new paint job and all the meticulous maintenance stuff done

Rode 20’ into my brothers garage in Florida ending my 35 day 7,000+ mile Fall Fantasy Odyssey.

Flying home to NY now to cold weather.

I rode 30 out of 35 days and will post pics when I get back.

Happy Veterans Day!!
