What did you do to your Rocket today?

Well, I definitely didn't ride today - woke up to 35F and a snow flurry. OMFG it was 60 two days ago, EEERRRRRGGGGHHHHH

I changed the differential fluid last night and started repainting both tires. Today I finished painting them (f'ing glow-in-the-dark paint didn't work).

I then removed the fuel emissions canister from the left side, pulled the hoses, capped the 4 nipples with 5/32" covers, and relocated the
radiator overflow tank from under the seat to the big hole left by the canister. It started so apparently I pulled the correct hoses! LoL.

Try this CT next tire change. It raises the back of the bike making it more maneuverable and stable in the turns.
If you like the Raptor you will love the Sumitomo HTR Z II 225/60/16.

Yes, I wa reading your posts on it. That's a Very nice looking tire pattern - similar to my first obsolete GY Eagle F1 but with better handling characteristics.

I see they have a 235/60/16 for $92 as well.

I have 11.5" shocks and am still not flat footed with the 245/50/R16 tires so maybe I will try a 27.1" diameter next go round.

Too bad the CT's last so long, I won't be able to try this tire until next year.

Maybe some clever SOB will design a hydraulic kit for me to drop the bike down when I stop so that I can use normal/taller shocks and tires.

Oh, and here's what I did today:

1. Installed TailBlazer rear lamp to pulsate the tail light when you touch the brakes.
2. Installed ECLIPSE Headlight Eye Graphics Kit Perforated Decal Cover (Oh good Lord NO, not on a Rocket!!?? Yepper)

Excess paint will clean up after a 10 mile ride...

The 235 60 16 might not fit. Too wide, I think. The brake caliper interferes with the fitting. When Paul markets his rear caliper relocator clamp, it would fit in there OK. Stock shock height is not the problem I have not rubbed anything but, the tire is close to the back end of the swing arm. Need to take a pic for you. At high speed the tire gets a belly and it might rub. These are Ultra High Performance ZR tires, made to go 175 mph and carry 1700 lbs. The Rocket feels like a feather to it.
