What about front tire?

I have reached the time that I need to replace both tires on my Rocket. Have lots of options I am considering for the rear tire. However, would appreciate some feedback on front tire options. Are most sticking with a mc tire on front or are you also using ct on front as well. Also, if using ct's on both front and rear what sizes are being used and what air pressures are being used as well. Thanks again for the feed back!

I haven't heard of anyone using a car tire on the front.

One reason I was willing to try a CT in back was the availability of high performance car tires that fit the rear wheel. That was over 12000 miles ago and I have zero desire to change back.

Even if I wanted to run a front CT , I don't think I would be able to find one that fits.

There have been a couple of guys that have gone darkside on front but they have not used CT's they get a rear trye of the desired size and run it in reverse direction on front, I was considering that till I found the Shinko757 150/80/17 it has already gotten 8,000 klm's and looks like I might even get 10,000klm's out of it, the best I got out of a Metz was 6,400klm's and it grips,turns and changes direction better then Metz and here's the clincher I did not expect to get so much better mileage out of it because it griped so well and wait for it ............ It is two thirds of the cost, yes I said two thirds of the cost of the Metzler

Avon Cobra. About the same price as a Metz but I think much better handling and wear.

Got my Riken mounted and went for a short ride. Headed to Wyoming on a 3k mile ride next week. Should be good to break her in. Thanks for all the help on getting her done!

approaching 30k on my Riken. Will be replacing it this winter with another.
