Went to a Harley shop

A mate in the UK just sent me this link - Down & Out Cafe Racers
Those guys do some nice work!

Yeah, this bike made me start to look into the feasibility of actually taking a scrambler and making it more off road capable. According to the guys on advrider it turns out they can be made surprisingly capable with less cash than I'd expect.

Doohhh - I completely missed it - that's YOURS!

Turned out really sweet!
Front end looks great, too!

Great idea - taking a Scrambler and making it ...... well ................ a Scrambler!

Err umm, more scrambl-ish? It's funny how things get redefined...the new manufacturer definition of scrambler is a 'retro styled bike that looks like it's off-road capable even though that's not really what we had in mind when we built it, but yeah it kinda sorta does the dirt thing'.

Though to be fair the Triumph Scrambler seems to have good bones even if it's a bit heavy. It's often more dirt capable than people expect, just not as much as people hope.

I like the style of the scrambler and all that... my only complaint is the weight. It's a beast for muscling around. With a larger flywheel and all that, though, it's easy to baby at low speeds and feather the clutch smoothly. I don't know if I'd want to hill climb on one, but logging roads and light woods trails are a blast.
