I believe that, given the time of year, the first things you should attend to are finding some very effective snow and ice tires for the beast and/or learning how to keep the battery alive through the cold weather so that you can at least start her up and listen to her roar a few times over the course of this upcoming winter's desolation.
 
Hi, I'm a new member, and a Triumph fan since re-entering the world of riding in 2007. I was away about 17 years while my daughter was growing up.
The Rocket is a bit large for me. My T-Bird is nearly too big too, but wonderful on longer rides. The Legend TT dual sport fits great; a tad small. but lots of fun.
My reason for joining the R3 forum is to get a bit of info from the experts, and to gauge the need for a proper way to lift the R3. I developed the Jack-Be-Quick lifting system for T-Birds which has the same frame-less shortcoming as R3, and no safe & effective way to lift for maintenance. I also may have access to a 2005 R3 to develop a similar system for your bikes, but would like to find out if there have been relevant changes in frames, etc that may make the oldest model a poor choice to develop this system.

Hello VABird and welcome from Dumfries, VA. I viewed your website and realize you are a somewhat small company which if fine, but where are you located? I specualte you are here in VA from your name; if so, I am willing to also let you measure and mock-up a lift with my bike (2014 R3T) if we are close enough. Let me know.
 
Hi Boog, Yes, I'm in Bedford VA; between Lynchburg and Roanoke. I currently have access to a 2005 R3, and am in initial stages of developing the Jack-Be-Quick lifting system for Rocket III. I understand that there was at least a slight change in the frame around 2008, so your offer would be most appreciated so I could make the necessary changes for the later models. I'm trying to make one suitable for all models, to keep costs (and thereby prices) down.
I guess you are about 3 hours from me. No big deal there. I could easily ride up and do a test fitting in a day. Probably be spring before that's likely.

I'm new to the site so here's my introduction.
I live in Sydney, Australia & bought my first Triumph about 6 weeks ago. Obviously a Rocket 3.
It's a black 2004 model with 18,000 km (a little over 11,000 miles) on the clock.

I started riding back in 1977 but have had a break from owning a bike since my Yamaha XS1100 with sidecar was stolen some 24 years ago. So, I thought I'd get back into it now with something slow & light before venturing into something powerful & heavy

I'm a husband (since 1986), father (since 1995) & musician (since 1982)

I'm exceptionally busy but will join in on threads when I get the opportunity.
