Thanks

Cheers Guys, thanks for the feed back. Buy the sounds of it the 08 and before is the better bet at least for now. Looking forward to getting ride of the blade to try out the new way of life, lol.
While I am thinking about it whats your thoughts of the M109r vs R3 on a day to day living with, excitement factor, etc etc.

You're asking us????

I had my moments thinking I wanted a 109 but could never get used to all the plastic, it didn't appeal at all as a tourer and from the rear it looks like a scooter. They go like stink though and are a little bit different to other cruisers - although do resemble a little the least popular or successful Harley (V Rod). You can probably find a good one second hand because (in Oz at least) there are more of them for sale than any other large cruiser. Could be a good reason for that.

For mine, the only Jap that even came close to the Rocket for performance and all round appeal and flexibility was the now defunct VTX1800C. I think they look great - pretty similar in appearance to a T'Bird IMO. There's probably still one or 2 brand new '08 models to be found around the place. The other 'big' Japs are a bit too 'formular' for me ie pretend Harleys.

In any case, ride a Rocket and that's what you'll want.

Welcome. Would you trade your Rocket in for a cherry 1969 Plymouth GTX with a 440 6pack?

That would be one tough decision. Had a 69 green GTX 440 with twin quads on terantula intake. Lots of ponies but the Rocket.....................

Just got on board

Hi all, I've had a few bikes in my time but back in July 2010 I got off my Speedmaster and thew my leg over a 2010 Rocket Roadster and couldn't go back. I live on the eastern coast of Australia, about half way up.
I live on 4 acres, have been married for 17 years, no kids, two dogs, two horses and a cow. I'm a refrigeration technician that works on supermarket control systems and although I enjoy my work it does get in the way when it comes to riding.

Cheers
Tekcor
